Folk Metal (BRA)

Tuatha De Dannan
The brazilian band Tuatha De Danann harmoniously joins musical strands based on Heavy Metal and Celtic music. This proposal began in 1995. At that time, the group formed by adolescents between the ages of 13 and 16, already surprised the brazilian alternative music scene with the demo-tape "The Last Pendragon".

During the first years, Tuatha De Danann appeared in several lists and polls as one of the most expressive bands of Heavy Metal from Brazil, and the members nominated as best instrumentalists among brazilian musicians of the style. This recognition is the result of careful, creative and festive compositions created from experiments with traditional Rock instruments such as distorted guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and unconventional instruments and Celtic culture such as bouzouki, tin and low whistle, uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipe), sweet and cross flute, mandolin, among others.
