Anyone who has closely followed the lively development of this Ruhrpott legend since the founding, knows exactly about the always upright and loyal attitude of the inflexible legation. When Germany’s Black Messiah came to the public in 1992, the Metal world was still quite different from what it currently is. But to this day, the singing leader Zagan with his guitar, violin and titanic passion held fast to his immovable ideals. And what began courageous as an innovative-folkish Pagan Black Metal and then, over the years, led more and more into classic, highly epic Pagan Metal with a Power Metal flair, now flows into „Walls Of Vanaheim“. On this seventh album, the six-headed formation celebrates all the characteristics and, above all, the virtues of its very own, atmospherically style. And this is done with exceptionally sublime songwriting, which is combined with pure power, biting endurance and many original ideas. „Walls Of Vanaheim“ marks the second part of the exciting story, which was first told with the 2009 longplayer „First War Of The World“. Thematic is all about the second war of the mythological Vanen tribe.
Triggered by the murder of Odin's friend, the giant Mime, the Ases moved from Valhalla to Vanheim to lay the city in ruins. Black Messiah stage this exciting spectacle with their martial-brave, unmistakably melodic soundtrack. Masculine, but thoroughly thought-out music, which is just as inevitable as it often drives under the skin: Martial stirring, uniquely rough, touching emotionally and full of individual beauty - Black Messiah at their very best!
The triumphant „Walls Of Vanaheim“ shows very impressively, that these fighter souls still have an extra-strong Pagan breath!
