Lifelover rose from the ashes of the delusions of life - a life without promises nor dreamlike sequences.
Review from www.deadtide.com
Listening to Lifelover somewhat makes me understand why people do drugs. The catatonic depravity that this record can take you is colossal, while at the same time being sickeningly beautiful in it's fuzzed out / somber depression. Somewhere between the depressive rock of the revamped Bethlehem and the dismal drain of watching Trainspotting in slow motion, Erotik is an enigmatic listen, from the droning melody inside the beginning of the madness of "En Man I Sina Sämsta År" to the hallowed screams that ironically recall elder Bethlehem (Landfermann era). Lifelover is a strictly enjoyable listen, their brand of hauntingly moody rock comes across so inherently real that I am so moved in it' sullen depression that I cannot help but sink into dullness, in the most appropriate of ways. Erotik does for me as a music lover what heroin does for an addict; a soothing rush so dangerous, yet so amazingly wonderful all at once. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite records in a very long time.
