Lurte: We are a musical group from Aragon. Our music is based on traditional Aragonese instruments, as are our melodies, which are collected from the diversity of cultural expressions of Aragon. Therefore, up to here Lurte would be a simple Folk group.
However, all of the above does not give the true face of Lurte. Lurte is more, it's Folk-Metal music. It doesn't matter that there are no electric guitars or distortions. Attitude is what matters.
The staging and aesthetics are based on the figure of the Almogábares, mercenaries under the orders of the King of Aragon and who fought a multitude of heroic battles between the 12th and 14th centuries. Our rhythms, our strength and our spirit connect like an umbilical cord with those fierce inhabitants of medieval times, who kept Celtiberian traditions alive, uniting the strength of the Almugábar warrior and the love of mother earth.
Most of the songs are instrumental, and for those that have lyrics, the language we use is the same one that Almogavar warriors have used for eight hundred years on the battlefields and city streets they conquered for the Kingdom of Aragon. This language is Aragonese, currently considered by the European Union as the language most threatened to disappear.
