"Obsidium" also contains the typical ENTHRONED fare of the "Nornagest era." And that's by no means a bad thing. On the one hand, they rage (almost) like in the 90s, but they also don't shy away from judiciously reining in the onslaught at certain points. The band succeeds particularly well in the varied tracks like "Oblivious Shades" (atmosphere and mysticism meet furious rage) and "Petraolevm Salvia," where they conjure up darkness and seem to acoustically usher in the apocalypse. Personally, however, I consider "Nonus Sacamentvm - Obsidium" to be the highlight of this release, where ENTHRONED pull out all the stops and, thanks to the memorable guitar riffs and good compositional ideas, are able to deliver a minor black metal hit. www.stormbringer-metal.de (4/5 points)
