Every chorus tells a tale of hope and every breakdown tells a tale of darkness – that’s the painfully sincere premise of latest metal output Savage Mountain from Dortmund, Germany. The band consists of three members – Karl Erik Niggemann on vocals, Adrian Poneta on guitar and Joshua Luft on drums. In a restless artistic endeavor, the threepiece spent the last two years working on their first EP “What Lies Beneath My Sorrow”. With it, singer Karl Erik aims to channel music into a form of diary writing – leaving no stone unturned in his attempt to understand his own story and dealing with the hardships of loneliness, despair and the never-ending search for identity.
