"Super Satan was created in Bavaria... The concept album starts with the title “The Guardian” which builds up a good atmosphere and introduces the track “The Forest Has Eyes”. In the first 40 seconds or so you get the impression that this is a “normal” Black Metal album, but what happens next is just terrific. With a riff that could have come from Meshuggah, the song takes a complete turn. In the following songs this impression is confirmed several times. Super Satan perfectly masters the balancing act between Black Metal, progressive Death Metal and Post Black Metal and can thus stand out from other genre bands. One can almost speak of the birth of a new genre, but I don't think that was the ulterior motive behind the creation of “Celestial”. Despite repeated listening sessions, I can't name a favorite because all tracks were able to fully convince and captivate me at the same time.
