Sehnsuchts Wogen’ is an album of stark contrasts, on the one hand the band are more capable of playing intricate melodies and creating soft teasing moods and atmospheres, yet when they kick into Black Metal mode they are hard hitting, bleak, cold and remorseful. Everything Traumen Von Aurora create is thought provoking and enjoyable, well thought out ans superbly structured. The bands song writing has obviously been worked on over a long period of time for their debut album to be of such a high quality, and that can only be for the best as the band progress onwards into their musical career. ‘Sehnsuchts Wogen’ though should go down as an excellent debut from a promising band, an album of both darkness and light, remorse and hope, talent and ambition! Their music can be described as avant-garde metal with a certain theatrical appeal. Much in the same way Dornenreich did on ‘Her Von Welken Nächten’, combining almost spoken word passages with screams. (lords of Metal.nl)
