BLACK METAL
"Rustling, water, piano and church bells. Forty-two second intro. Then brute blast beats bang unchecked. And they're moving faster and faster. Above that, devilish screams of an unbridled, angry singer over complex, atmospheric harmonies. Their German-language texts deal primarily with mythological themes. For example the Ouroboros mentioned at the beginning. Or Duch Gór, that's the Polish name for a mountain spirit. The everything and everyone cursing vocals and the rugged guitar masses are repeatedly broken by multi-layered, dominant drums. And they are as precise as the idiomatic clockwork. That goes for the whole album. Because the precise rhythm changes on the drums are so frequent and varied that it's difficult to grasp the tracks in their entirety, even after listening to them several times. And the overall compositions of all the songs are ruthless and destructive. Unbridled violence poured into seven pitch-black songs spanning 40 minutes. Brute, brutal and groundbreaking".
